1) International Development Research Centre

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is a public corporation created by the Parliament of Canada in 1970 to help developing countries use science and technology to find practical, long-term solutions to the social, economic, and environmental problems they face. Support is directed toward developing an indigenous research capacity to sustain policies and technologies that developing countries need to build healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous societies.
2) World Association Of Young Scientists

The World Academy of Young Scientists (WAYS) was officially launched at the World Science Forum, Budapest, in November 2003, and is being established under the aegis of UNESCO as a non-for-profit organization.
WAYS is dedicated to providing an environment for young researchers - principally between 15 and 40 years of age - to carry out quality scientific research and actively participate in science policy and decision-making. In WAYS, the major objectives are to make science more attractive for the young, and more comprehensible and accessible to everyone. The organization encourages the career development of young researchers, facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration among scientists of all generations and from all parts of the world, and influences science policy worldwide.
The network is intended to provide a continuous voice to sensitize scientific institutions and decision-makers to the necessity of creating opportunities for young researchers in Science and Technology, and actively involving them in their shaping. WAYS nourishes a global community of new scientists by fostering trans-, inter- and multidisciplinary as well as intergenerational partnership and networking. These collaborations increase the exchange of up-to-date information, prepare youth for scientific careers, and promote dialogue between the scientific community and society.
3) Inter Academy Medical Panel

The InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP) is an association of the world's medical academies and medical divisions of science academies. Currently the IAMP counts 65 member academies endorsed at the last IAMP Global Forum held in Beijing China on 6th April 2006.
The IAMP is committed to improving health and promoting health research around the world. This includes collaboration to: Strengthen the role of all academies to alleviate the burden of the poorest; Build scientific capacity for health; and Provide independent scientific advice on promoting health science and health care policy to national governments and global organizations.
4) French Academy of Sciences

The Academy of Sciences of the Institute of France brings together French scholars and forms associations with foreign scholars, where both the former and the latter are selected from among the most eminent. By their involvement, they contribute to the accomplishing of the missions of the Academy. The Academy of Sciences is independent and durable, it encourages scientific life, and contributes to progress in the sciences and in their applications :
- it studies social questions associated with the development of the sciences and formulates recommendations, possibly with the involvement of other Academies,
- it is involved in the development of international scientific relations, notably within the European Union, and in the representation abroad of research carried out in France,
- it monitors the quality of the teaching of the sciences and works to ensure that the products of scientific development are integrated into the culture of people of our time,
- it encourages the diffusion of science among the public,
- it diligently upholds the role and the quality of French scientific language.
5) Canadian Academy of Health Sciences

The objective of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences is to provide advice on & assessments of key issues relevant to the health of Canadians.
- Serve as a credible, expert, independent assessor of science and technology (S&T) issues relevant to the health of Canadians
- Support the development of timely, informed & strategic advice on urgent health issues
- Support the development of sound and informed public policy related to these issues
- Enhance understanding of S&T issues affecting the public good by transmitting the results of its assessments and providing opportunities for public discussion of these matters
- Provide a single authoritative & informed voice for the health science communities
- Monitor global health related events to enhance Canada’s state of readiness for the future
- Represent Canadian health sciences internationally and liaise with like international academies to enhance understanding and potential collaborations on matters of mutual interest.
